The operational expert group supports the Biologics Working Party (BWP) on matters related to the quality assessment of vaccines.
This include discussions on both product-specific and general matters related to vaccine quality.
The operational expert group is also responsible for making proposals for the EMA annual influenza recommendation.
It makes these proposals to BWP and subsequently to the CHMP.

The Biologics Working Party (BWP) nominates members to this group. They include some BWP members.
Additional experts may take part in these meetings as needed.
